Anju Eye Care started its journey in March 2012 with a vision to bring affordable & quality eye care services to all the needy people. Anju Eye Care was much known for quality eye care services at truly affordable prices serving a large catchment area of patients from the districts of East Godavari and West Godavari.

Anju Eye Care was the first hospital to define state of the art of eye care with high end ophthalmic equipment. It was the first hospital to acquire state of the art of retinal surgical machine Alcon constellation and Alcon pure point LASER for treatment of retinal diseases. This organization has pioneered in painless, needle less eye surgeries and attained the status of best center for excellence for painless eye surgery since its establishment in 2012.

The burden of eye conditions and vision impairment is not borne equally. It is often far greater in people living in rural areas, those with low incomes, women, older people, people with disabilities, ethnic minorities and indigenous populations. Hence Dr.Tejeswara Vara Prasad Dhupam has started a mission “Vision On Wheels” to prevent avoidable blindness by expanding Anju Eye care services to rural and tribal areas. We as an elite organization pledge ourselves to control and prevent blindness in children working along side with government.

In 2017 Anju Eye Care was merged as a subsidiary alliance of Alberta International Eye Hospital. This initiative was taken by Dr.Tejeswara Vara Prasad Dhupam to land the previously Anju Eye Care on National as well as Global platform and also to collaborate the previously Anju Eye Care-Presently Alberta International Eye Hospital& Anju International Eye Care Foundation with University Of Alberta-CANADA for setting up very high standards for treatment protocols, practice guidelines and to establish & exchange programs like sandwich fellowships, international electives for training ophthalmologists. Alberta International Eye Hospital & Anju International Eye Care Foundation have a mission as well as a defined vision to eliminate permanent blindness due to retinal problems like diabetic retinopathy, Macular degeneration, Glaucoma and other retinal disorders. It has been playing a major role in community oriented eye care camps/awareness talk since the establishment in 2012 till date.

In Alberta International Eye Hospital we follow EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system. Translational as well as Teleophthalmology services are done in conjunction with doctors of department of ophthalmology, University of Alberta –Canada.

Subsidized OPD/Optical, Lab Services are offered for under privileged subset of patients of the province. As a part of Corporate Social Responsibilities the hospital has done monthly tribal camps for all seven mandals in ITDA through the office of project of Project Officer ITDA.

Presently AIEH has seven full time ophthalmologists and 65+ supporting staff . Alberta International Eye Hospital is designed as such a way where 500 patients can be examined in a day, In all three floor together where 10 to 12 ophthalmologists can work with comprehensive general and specialty services like retina, Glaucoma, Paediatric, Oculoplasty and Cornea working in separate departments.

It also has state of the art of eye surgical unit with laminar air flow and highly aseptic conditions for eye care. By year 2025 AIEH& AIECF aims to reach National Platform as a highest regarded tertiary eye care center, In the province (state) and evolve as one among the best eye care educational training center in the country.
